Company History

Hotchpotch was originally founded in the mid 1990's by designer Lauren White
and her husband Michael.

In September 1997 Lauren sold her card business to The Greetings Factory Ltd, which continues to trade under the Hotchpotch brand with Lauren still designing cards for the company today.

Since September 1997, Hotchpotch has grown considerably and is now a well established and highly regarded brand in the greetings card industry, selling many millions of cards each year through a large variety of retailers both in the UK and abroad.

Hotchpotch has received numerous Henries award nominations for our cards over the years and in 2001 was the proud winner of the "Best Fun or Graphic Range" category with our Joanna's Pearlies range.

After several successful years focusing on the Hotchpotch brand, The Greetings Factory wanted to expand and offer its customers a broader card offering as well as continuing to offer the same high standard of Hotchpotch. The business grew and eventually Dandelion was acquired by The Greetings Factory Ltd in 2007 to offer the business an outlet for Children’s cards. Then in 2008, as well as creating fun brand Peachy Keen, AKA Daisy was also acquired bringing with it a new dimension of sentiment and wording with such ranges as the 2006 Henries award winning ‘Harvest Moon’ range. The most recent addition to The Greetings Factory stable is Art Plus, an art brand set up to offer a different dimension of art cards to our customers. Currently Art Plus is the licensee for The National Gallery with the cards sold in all of The National Gallery shops.
